Campaigns

Everyone who joins is invited to support our activities in the best way they can, by giving  their time and expertise to further the fight against racism. We send out regular newsletters and post activities on social media..

Due to Covid restrictions, our meetings have moved on line, we use social media and have managed some socially distanced protests.  We hope to resume our wide range of community campaigning in the real world soon.

Some of the current campaigns:

Supporting the Black Lives Matter Movement across the County, eg  organising Take the Knee events.

Responding to and challenging incidents of racism that occur within our communities.

Making Derbyshire a more welcoming place for minority groups through our Welcoming Diversity in the High Peak campaign.

Working to develop an anti-racist curriculum in our schools alongside pupils, parents, teachers and BAME groups.

Supporting refugee families settled here in Derbyshire from Syria. We have a network of volunteers and we work with Derbyshire Refugee Solidarity and Care for Calais.

Organising regular meetings and rallies on key issues to challenge racism.

Organising Love Music Hate Racism events  and running stalls at festivals in Derbyshire
